Buildings and Grounds
Volunteers for the Buildings and Grounds commission partner with the Pastor and the Finance Committee to maintain our Church property in a manner conducive to meet our parish needs. Buildings and Grounds periodically surveys the campus and identifies projects necessary to maintain, repair and add structures that serve the church community.
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to care for parish resources. It has the task of planning for, advising on, and supervising the parish financial affairs and physical properties. The commission prepares and presents an annual budget for both operating and capital expenditures based upon the goals and objectives determined by the Parish Council.
The Stewardship Committee is a group of parishioners who enjoy being active participants in St. Walter Church and wish to share that joy with other members of the parish. The Committee’s mission is to encourage greater participation and sense of community among the parishioners, and to promote a greater understanding of the responsibilities of being good stewards of the faith. Efforts include communication, recognition, encouraging involvement, promoting spiritual development and assisting in identifying appropriate returns for gifts received. Stewardship does not belong to a committee but to the parish as a whole.
